1:1 先前滿有人民的城，現在何竟獨坐！先前在列國中為大的，現在竟如寡婦；先前在諸省中為王后的，現在成為進貢的。 How deserted lies the city, once so full of people! How like a widow is she, who once was great among the nations! She who was queen among the provinces has now become a slave.
1:2 她夜間痛哭，淚流滿；在一切所親愛的中間沒有一個安慰她的。她的朋友都以詭詐待她，成為她的仇敵。 Bitterly she weeps at night, tears are upon her cheeks. Among all her lovers there is none to comfort her. All her friends have betrayed her; they have become her enemies. 1:3 猶大因遭遇苦難，又因多服勞苦就遷到外邦。她住在列國中，尋不著安息；追逼她的都在狹窄之地將她追上。 After affliction and harsh labor, Judah has gone into exile. She dwells among the nations; she finds no resting place. All who pursue her have overtaken her in the midst of her distress. 1:4 錫安的路徑因無人來守聖節就悲傷；她的城門淒涼；她的祭司歎息；她的處女受艱難，自己也愁苦。 The roads to Zion mourn, for no one comes to her appointed feasts. All her gateways are desolate, her priests groan, her maidens grieve, and she is in bitter anguish. 1:5 她的敵人為首；她的仇敵亨通；因耶和華為她許多的罪過使她受苦；她的孩童被敵人擄去。 Her foes have become her masters; her enemies are at ease. The LORD has brought her grief because of her many sins. Her children have gone into exile, captive before the foe. 1:6 錫安城〔原文是女子；下同〕的威榮全都失去。她的首領像找不著草場的鹿；在追趕的人前無力行走。 All the splendor has departed from the Daughter of Zion. Her princes are like deer that find no pasture; in weakness they have fled before the pursuer. 1:7 耶路撒冷在困苦窘迫之時，就追想古時一切的樂境。她百姓落在敵人手中，無人救濟；敵人看見，就因她的荒涼嗤笑。 In the days of her affliction and wandering Jerusalem remembers all the treasures that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into enemy hands, there was no one to help her. Her enemies looked at her and laughed at her destruction. 1:8 耶路撒冷大大犯罪，所以成為不潔之物；素來尊敬她的，見她赤露就都藐視她；她自己也歎息退後。 Jerusalem has sinned greatly and so has become unclean. All who honored her despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans and turns away. 1:9 她的污穢是在衣襟上；她不思想自己的結局，所以非常地敗落，無人安慰她。她說：耶和華啊，求你看我的苦難，因為仇敵誇大。 Her filthiness clung to her skirts; she did not consider her future. Her fall was astounding; there was none to comfort her. <<Look, O LORD, on my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed.>> 1:10 敵人伸手，奪取她的美物；她眼見外邦人進入她的聖所─論這外邦人，你曾吩咐不可入你的會中。 The enemy laid hands on all her treasures; she saw pagan nations enter her sanctuary-- those you had forbidden to enter your assembly. 1:11 她的民都歎息，尋求食物；他們用美物換糧食，要救性命。他們說：耶和華啊，求你觀看，因為我甚是卑賤。 All her people groan as they search for bread; they barter their treasures for food to keep themselves alive. <<Look, O LORD, and consider, for I am despised.>> 1:12 你們一切過路的人哪，這事你們不介意嗎？你們要觀看：有像這臨到我的痛苦沒有─就是耶和華在他發烈怒的日子使我所受的苦？ <<Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see. Is any suffering like my suffering that was inflicted on me, that the LORD brought on me in the day of his fierce anger? 1:13 他從高天使火進入我的骨頭，剋制了我；他鋪下網羅，絆我的腳，使我轉回；他使我終日淒涼發昏。 <<From on high he sent fire, sent it down into my bones. He spread a net for my feet and turned me back. He made me desolate, faint all the day long. 1:14 我罪過的軛是他手所綁的，猶如軛繩縛在我頸項上；他使我的力量衰敗。主將我交在我所不能敵擋的人手中。 <<My sins have been bound into a yoke; 1:14 Most Hebrew manuscripts; Septuagint ((He kept watch over my sins)) by his hands they were woven together. They have come upon my neck and the Lord has sapped my strength. He has handed me over to those I cannot withstand. 1:15 主輕棄我中間的一切勇士，招聚多人〔原文是大會〕攻擊我，要壓碎我的少年人。主將猶大居民踹下，像在酒醡中一樣。 <<The Lord has rejected all the warriors in my midst; he has summoned an army against me to 1:15 Or ((has set a time for me / when he will)) crush my young men. In his winepress the Lord has trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah. 1:16 我因這些事哭泣；我眼淚汪汪；因為那當安慰我、救我性命的，離我甚遠。我的兒女孤苦，因為仇敵得了勝。 <<This is why I weep and my eyes overflow with tears. No one is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.>> 1:17 錫安舉手，無人安慰。耶和華論雅各已經出令，使四圍的人作他仇敵；耶路撒冷在他們中間像不潔之物。 Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her. The LORD has decreed for Jacob that his neighbors become his foes; Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them. 1:18 耶和華是公義的！他這樣待我，是因我違背他的命令。眾民哪，請聽我的話，看我的痛苦；我的處女和少年人都被擄去。 <<The LORD is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command. Listen, all you peoples; look upon my suffering. My young men and maidens have gone into exile. 1:19 我招呼我所親愛的，他們卻愚弄我。我的祭司和長老正尋求食物、救性命的時候，就在城中絕氣。 <<I called to my allies but they betrayed me. My priests and my elders perished in the city while they searched for food to keep themselves alive. 1:20 耶和華啊，求你觀看，因為我在急難中。我心腸擾亂；我心在我裏面翻轉，因我大大悖逆。在外，刀劍使人喪子；在家，猶如死亡。 <<See, O LORD, how distressed I am! I am in torment within, and in my heart I am disturbed, for I have been most rebellious. Outside, the sword bereaves; inside, there is only death. 1:21 聽見我歎息的有人；安慰我的卻無人！我的仇敵都聽見我所遭的患難；因你做這事，他們都喜樂。你必使你報告的日子來到，他們就像我一樣。 <<People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my distress; they rejoice at what you have done. May you bring the day you have announced so they may become like me. 1:22 願他們的惡行都呈在你面前；你怎樣因我的一切罪過待我，求你照樣待他們；因我歎息甚多，心中發昏。 <<Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.>> 2:0 This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

荒漠甘泉五合一「用繩索把祭牲拴住，牽到壇角那裏。」詩篇一一八篇27節 讀者啊，祭壇不是在呼召我們嗎？我們不是要請求繩索把我們拴在祭壇上，使我們永遠不把我們的奉獻拿回來嗎？我們常常在生活充滿了玫瑰色光彩的時候，樂意選擇十字架；在天色灰暗的時候，就退縮了。所以如果能用繩索把我們拴住的話，多麼好呢！ 主啊，求你把我們拴住，拴在十字架上，讓我們永遠不會離開它。求你用救恩的紅繩、愛的金繩、望的銀繩，把我們拴住，叫我們不能逃回舊日的寬路去，也叫我們不去羨慕別的命運─只羨慕作主痛苦悲傷中卑賤的伴侶！ 讀者啊，壇角在呼召你了。你願不願意來呢？你願不願意永遠居在順從謙卑的靈中，把你自己完全奉獻給主呢？ ─選 在一次野外聚會裏，有一位弟兄，願意把自己奉獻給神。他每天晚上在祭壇旁邊奉獻自己；但是每天晚上在他離開聚會以前，魔鬼就來使他相信：他並沒有感覺甚麼分別，一定是神沒有接受他的奉獻。 一次一次他這樣被仇敵擊退，最後一天晚上，他來赴會的時候，帶了一把斧頭和一根長大的木樁來。他把自己奉獻了以後，就將木樁釘入他所跪的那塊地上。當他走出會場的時候，魔鬼又來引誘他相信這一切都不過是一幕戲劇而已。 他立刻回到木樁那裏，指著木樁說：「你看，魔鬼先生，你看見那根木樁嗎？那就是我的證人—─證明神已經永遠接受了我。」魔鬼立即離開了他，這位弟兄對於這個問題，以後再沒有甚麼疑惑了。 ─微小的聲音 親愛的，如果你也受了引誘疑惑你的奉獻的話，你也可以在一個地方釘下一根木樁，讓它在神前、魔鬼前，做一個證人說，你已經永遠解決了這個問題。 你是否在尋求幸福， 而無處可遇？ 只要聽取主的吩咐， 就會找到門路。 你是否在爭取得救， 而焦急祈求， 不必爭取， 只要信靠， 就會被神收留。 你的祈求懇切熱心， 卻遲遲不見回音， 把你的祈求變為讚美， 答應就會到臨。 你無從領會神的美滿， 除非你能放擔息肩， 把你的一切交託給神， 纔可領會完全。 ─心靈之歌
