All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth. 1:7 正如你們從我們所親愛、一同作僕人的以巴弗所學的。他為我們〔有古卷：你們〕作了基督忠心的執事， You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our(\f3 1:7 Some manuscripts|i your|d) behalf, 1:8 也把你們因聖靈所存的愛心告訴了我們。 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. 1:9 因此，我們自從聽見的日子，也就為你們不住地禱告祈求，願你們在一切屬靈的智慧悟性上，滿心知道 神的旨意； For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 1:10 好叫你們行事為人對得起主，凡事蒙他喜悅，在一切善事上結果子，漸漸地多知道 神； 0 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 1:11 照他榮耀的權能，得以在各樣的力上加力，好叫你們凡事歡歡喜喜地忍耐寬容； being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 1:12 又感謝父，叫我們能與眾聖徒在光明中同得基業。 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you(\f4 1:12 Some manuscripts|i us|d) to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. 1:13 他救了我們脫離黑暗的權勢，把我們遷到他愛子的國裏； For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 1:14 我們在愛子裏得蒙救贖，罪過得以赦免。 in whom we have redemption,( \f5 1:14 A few late manuscripts|i redemption through his blood|d) the forgiveness of sins. 1:15 愛子是那不能看見之 神的像，是首生的，在一切被造的以先。 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 1:16 因為萬有都是靠他造的，無論是天上的，地上的；能看見的，不能看見的；或是有位的，主治的，執政的，掌權的；一概都是藉著他造的，又是為他造的。 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 1:17 他在萬有之先；萬有也靠他而立。 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 1:18 他也是教會全體之首。他是元始，是從死裏首先復生的，使他可以在凡事上居首位。 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 1:19 因為父喜歡叫一切的豐盛在他裏面居住。 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 1:20 既然藉著他在十字加上所流的血成就了和平，便藉著他叫萬有─無論是地上的、天上的─都與自己和好了。 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. 1:21 你們從前與 神隔絕，因著惡行，心裏與他為敵。 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of(\f6 1:21 Or|i minds, as shown by|d) your evil behavior. 1:22 但如今他藉著基督的肉身受死，叫你們與自己和好，都成了聖潔，沒有瑕疵，無可責備，把你們引到自己面前。 But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation-- 1:23 只要你們在所信的道上恆心，根基穩固，堅定不移，不至被引動失去〔原文是離開〕福音的盼望。這福音就是你們所聽過的，也是傳與普天下萬人聽的〔原文是凡受造的〕，我保羅也作了這福音的執事。 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant. 1:24 現在我為你們受苦，倒覺歡樂；並且為基督的身體，就是為教會，要在我肉身上補滿基督患難的缺欠。 Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. 1:25 我照 神為你們所賜我的職分作了教會的執事，要把 神的道理傳得全備， I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness-- 1:26 這道理就是歷世歷代所隱藏的奧祕；但如今向他的聖徒顯明了。 the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. 1:27 神願意叫他們知道，這奧祕在外邦人中有何等豐盛的榮耀，就是基督在你們心裏成了有榮耀的盼望。 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 1:28 我們傳揚他，是用諸般的智慧，勸戒各人，教導各人，要把各人在基督裏完完全全的引到 神面前。 We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. 1:29 我也為此勞苦，照著他在我裏面運用的大能盡心竭力。 To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me. 二月廿六日 「我的恩典是彀你用的。」哥林多後書十二章9節（直譯） 有一天晚上，我整天工作之後，騎馬回家。路上我極感疲乏，差不多要馬上倒下來；忽然之間，一節聖經像閃電一般地照在我的心中：「我的恩典是夠你用的」到家之後，我就在聖經的原文中查考，發現它的語氣是：「我的恩典是夠你用的」；我就對主說：「主啊，我信，我信您的恩典是夠我用的；」此時裏面的喜樂爆發出來，成為歡笑。直到那晚，我纔知道不信神夠用的恩典是何等可笑，亦復可憐。這猶如海洋中一條口渴的小魚，不敢喝水，深怕把水喝乾了；雖然海洋對牠說：「小魚兒儘量喝罷！我的水是夠你喝的。」但是牠仍然不敢。這又好比七個豐年之後，倉廩中一隻小鼠，不敢喫食，深怕以後要餓死；雖然約瑟對牠說：「小鼠兒，儘量吃罷！我的穀粒是夠你喫的。」但是牠仍然不敢。這也像一個人，在高山上，對自己說：「我每年呼吸這許多空氣，我怕我會把空氣中的氧氣吸盡罷。」雖然大氣對他說：「可憐的人啊，儘量吸罷！我的氧氣是夠你呼吸的。」但是他仍不敢。哦，弟兄們，讓我們每一個都作信心的偉人！小信心會帶你的靈到天上去，大信心會帶天到你的靈裏來。 ─司布真 祂的恩典， 偉大得足夠應付大災難， 席捲靈魂的驚波險濤， 窒息生命的暴風怒潮， 不能控制的急雨狂焰。 祂的恩典， 偉大得也夠袪除小麻煩 急躁不寧， 如坐針氈， 疑慮榮心， 如蠅附羶， 憂戚如焚， 獨夜自煎。 ─富林德 神替我們在天上的銀行中存了無數量的款子，等待我們用信心任意支取，讓我們放膽前去支取罷。

February 26 "My grace is sufficient for thee." (2 Cor. 12:9.) ＴHE other evening I was riding home after a heavy day's work. I felt very wearied, and sore depressed, when swiftly, and suddenly as a lightning flash, that text came to me, "My grace is sufficient for thee." I reached home and looked it up in the original, and at last it came to me in this way, "MY grace is sufficient for thee"; and I said, "I should think it is, Lord," and burst out laughing. I never fully understood what the holy laughter of Abraham was until then. It seemed to make unbelief so absurd. It was as though some little fish, being very thirsty, was troubled about drinking the river dry, and Father Thames said, "Drink away, little fish, my stream is sufficient for thee." Or, it seemed after the seven years of plenty, a mouse feared it might die of famine; and Joseph might say, "Cheer up, little mouse, my granaries are sufficient for thee." Again, I imagined a man away up yonder, in a lofty mountain, saying to himself, "I breathe so many cubic feet of air every year, I fear I shall exhaust the oxygen in the atmosphere," but the earth might say, "Breathe away, O man, and fill the lungs ever, my atmosrhere is sufficient for thee." Oh, brethren, be great believers! Little faith will bring your souls to Heaven, but great faith will bring Heaven to your souls. ─C. H. Spurgeon. 二月廿六日 詩篇 「您的言語在我上膛何等甘美，在我口中比蜜更甜。」詩篇一一九篇103節 本書是要幫助我們去敬拜神。在全部聖經六十六卷裡，詩篇似乎是特別為著這個目標而寫的；其他各卷，是偏於歷史、教訓或應用方面。但是詩篇能帶領我們進入至聖所，在那裡享受與神相交的福分，這是被聖靈感動寫出的一卷敬拜的書。 你若要每個早晨真的遇見神，並用心靈和誠實敬拜祂，你就需要讓你的心充滿了詩篇裡面神的話語。 你讀詩篇的時候，可將該經文中的「耶和華」「神」和一切代表神的字，如「我」「您」「祂」的旁邊劃以紅線。這樣，能幫助你將詩篇裡的意念和神連結，這位神就是禱告的對象。當你不畏難、不嫌麻煩地將關於神的不同名字都劃出來的時候，你就要看見，本來頗難領會的章節，現在都要發出亮光來了。這樣一劃，便使神成為你中心的思想，帶領你有新的敬拜。將這些話從你的嘴裡向神說出。你的信心就要重新得以堅固，並能體會神如何是你在各種環境中的幫助和力量。 這詩篇在舊約時代，如何為聖靈所用，教導神的子民去禱告；照樣，今天也藉著聖靈的能力，教導我們與神同在。 打開詩篇一一九篇碰著「耶和華」和「您」的時候，就劃出來。你就要驚奇地發現，這些字在每一節聖經裡，總要碰著一次！或者不止一次。讓我們思想：在詩篇的字句裡，所遇見的神，就是那賜給我們律法，並使我們能遵守的神。這樣，詩篇就要成為你所喜愛的，你也要發現這裡的禱告和教訓，能使你繼續向神而去，住在祂能力和慈愛的祝福裡面。 「我何等愛慕您的律法，終日不住地思想。」（詩一一九97）

二月廿六日 懷疑耶穌的理由不足 「先生沒有打水的器具。」約翰福音四章11節 「神的道雖是高深，但祂未必期望我在生活中一一行出來！」我們常以為耶穌基督和祂的教訓不比我們的見識高明──「你高超的理想，印象在我們心中，但是與現實的世界接觸，覺得不能見諸實行。」我們每個人有時是這樣想。這些對於耶穌的懷疑，起自擺在我們面前的那些奇怪的問題，就是我們討論神事工的時候所發生的問題──「你們從那裡得錢？你們的事情怎樣安排呢？」就是我們告訴耶穌，我們的情形也是祂難於解決的。「倚靠主，」固然容易，但是一個人要生活。耶穌沒有甚麼東西取水──「從何能給我們這些東西哩！」當心你這些自欺的話──「我不懷疑耶穌，只懷疑我自己。」我們之中，沒有人懷疑自己；我們十二分的知道我們所不能做的是甚麼，可是我們是懷疑耶穌了。祂能做我們所不能做的，這一句話，叫我們有點難受。 我所以懷疑是因為我以自己，去推測神。我的問題是從我劣性的深處發出來的。如果我在我裡面查出這些懷疑，就應該將它們顯露出來，也要坦白的承認──「主啊，我對於您有懷疑之處，我不相信您的智慧離得了我的智慧；我也不相信您的權能離得了我有限的理解。」

二月廿六日 「在各樣善事上，成全你們……。」希伯來書十三章21節 希伯來書結尾的禱告非常美：「但願賜平安的神，就是那憑永約之血，使群羊的大牧人──我主耶穌從死裡復活的神，在各樣善事上成全你們……。」(來十三20—21)「在各樣善事上，成全你們」的字意乃是「使你們能適應各樣善事」。 適應是一件大事，我們得適應周圍的環境及人事，而不能叫環境及人事因我們而改變。例如適應我們不得不相處的人；適應神所給我們的事工，而不是求神來幫助我們做我們的事；適應去實現神給我們一生的旨意及計劃。這其實是我們在屬靈的事上能得到安息、力量及自由的秘密。 主啊！願您以您的豐富充滿我， 直到我的心滿溢， 直到我能用如火般的情緒和生動的話語， 述說您的愛，表達對您的讚美。 主啊！求您用我，求您屢屢用我， 如您所願地，無論在何時或何處用我。 直到我看到您聖潔的臉， 與您同安息、同喜樂、同享榮耀。
