1:10 希西家生瑪拿西；瑪拿西生亞們；亞們生約西亞； Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon, Amon the father of Josiah,
1:11 百姓被遷到巴比倫的時候，約西亞生耶哥尼雅和他的弟兄。 and Josiah the father of Jeconiah (\f1 1:11 That is, Jehoiachin; also in verse 12) and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.
1:12 遷到巴比倫以後，耶哥尼雅生撒拉鐵；撒拉鐵生所羅巴伯； After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,
1:13 所羅巴伯生亞比玉；亞比玉生以利亞敬；以利亞敬生亞所； Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, Abiud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor,
1:14 亞所生撒督；撒督生亞金；亞金生以律； Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Akim, Akim the father of Eliud,
1:15 以律生以利亞撒；以利亞撒生馬但；馬但生雅各； Eliud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,
1:16 雅各生約瑟，就是馬利亞的丈夫。那稱為基督的耶穌是從馬利亞生的。 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
1:17 這樣，從亞伯拉罕到大衛共有十四代；從大衛到遷至巴比倫的時候也有十四代；從遷至巴比倫的時候到基督又有十四代。 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ. (\f2 1:17 Or|i Messiah|d. <<The Christ>> (Greek) and <<the Messiah>>(Hebrew) both mean <<the Anointed One.>>)
1:18 耶穌基督降生的事記在下面：他母親馬利亞巳經許配了約瑟，還沒有迎娶，馬利亞就從聖靈懷了孕。 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
1:19 她丈夫約瑟是個義人，不願意明明地羞辱她，想要暗暗地把她休了。 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
1:20 正思念這事的時候，有主的使者向他夢中顯現，說：「大衛的子孫約瑟，不要怕！只管娶過你的妻子馬利亞來，因她所懷的孕是從聖靈來的。 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, <<Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
1:21 她將要生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫耶穌，因他要將自己的百姓從罪惡裏救出來。」 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, (\f3 1:21 |iJesus|d is the Greek form of|i Joshua|d, which means|i the Lord saves|d.) because he will save his people from their sins.>>
1:22 這一切的事成就是要應驗主藉先知所說的話， All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
1:23 說：「必有童女懷孕生子；人要稱他的名為以馬內利。」（以馬內利翻出來就是「　神與我們同在」。） <<The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel>>(\f4 1:23 Isaiah 7:14)--which means, <<God with us.>>
1:24 約瑟醒了，起來，就遵著主使者的吩咐把妻子娶過來； When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.
1:25 只是沒有和她同房，等她生了兒子〔有古卷：等她生了頭胎的兒子〕，就給他起名叫耶穌。 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

    「在海上坐船，在大水中經理事務的，他們看見耶和華的作為；並祂在深水中的奇事。」詩篇一○七篇23、24節

    凡是風。都是叫我們的靈程得幫助的。不能幫助我們的，乃是全然無風。北風、南風、東風、西風，都沒有關係，只要是風，都可以幫助我們進港。所以你應當尋求一件事：生活在海洋裏，不要懼怕風雨。讓我們禱告說：「哦！主啊，送我們到海洋裏去——到大水中去。我們現在所在的地方太靠近岩石了，和惡魔稍為一爭，我們就會撞得粉碎。主啊。送我們到海洋裏去——到大水中去，在那裏我們可以有彀大的地域來得到榮耀的勝利。」

    "They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; these see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep." (Psalm 107:23, 24)

    　ＨE is but an apprentice and no master in the art, who has not learned that every wind that blows is fair for Heaven. The only thing that helps nobody, is a dead clam. North or south, east or west, it matters not, every wind may help towards that blessed port. Seek one thing only: keep well out to sea, and then have no fear of stormy winds. Let our prayer be that of an old Cornishman: "O Lord, send us out to sea─out in the deep water. Here we are so close to the rocks that the first bit of breeze with the devil, we are all knocked to pieces. Lord, send us out to sea─out in the deep water, where we shall have room enough to get a glorious victory."

    八月卅日　跟隨羔羊

    「羔羊無論往那裏去，他們都跟隨祂。」啟示錄十四章4節

    要清楚說出這個跟隨基督含蓄的屬天異象是不容易的，但我們能肯定將來必能如在地球上跟隨羔羊的腳蹤而行，在天上要像羔羊在地上的啟示，更榮耀的跟隨羔羊。

    同時據所知，羔羊的腳步是怎樣的？「祂自己卑微」，「祂像羊羔被牽到宰殺之地，卻不出聲。」（賽五十三7）如此溫柔、柔和、並謙卑，就是跟隨祂腳蹤的特色。

    主曾親口說出：「我心柔和謙卑，你們當負我的軛學我的樣式，這樣你們心裏必得享安息。」保羅寫道：「你們當以基督的心為心。」（腓二5）然後他提這是怎樣的心志：祂本有神的形像，反倒虛己取了人的樣式，成為奴僕的形像；祂自己謙卑順服以致於死，且死在十字架上。羔羊是我們的主及立法者，祂給我們開了一條通往神寶座的唯一途徑；我們要學祂謙卑、溫柔的態度，也就是要我們虛己，選擇奴僕的地位，自我謙卑順服以致於死，且死在十字架上，因此就能找到這條通過裂開的幔子又新又活的路。

    「所以神將祂升為至高，又賜祂那超乎萬名之上的名。」（9節）就因為基督徒太少有虛己謙卑的特色，世人就拒絕相信有基督充滿生命的可能性。

    哦！神的孩子！來學習羔羊，以祂成為你的楷模和救主，讓保羅的話成為你生活的寫照：「我已經與基督同釘十字架，現在活著的不再是我，乃是基督在我裏面活著。」這就是那條跟隨羔羊的道路，即使在天上神榮耀的寶座也是一樣。

    八月卅日　我真相信基督麼？

    「然而不要因鬼服了……就歡喜，要因你們的名記錄在天上歡喜。」路加福音十章20節

    總而言之，耶穌基督是說，不要因事業之成功而歡喜，卻要因你們與我的正當關係而歡喜。基督徒工作的陷阱，是因事業之成功而歡喜，因神之使用我們歡喜。如果你與耶穌基督有正當的關係，你們絕不衡量神用你們成就甚麼。保守你與祂的正當關係，而後你無論在甚麼環境裡，無論你所遇見的是誰，祂要由你傾出活水的江河來，但不讓你知覺活水是從你流出來的。你如果一旦因救恩和成聖而與神發生正當關係，謹記你無論在那裡，都是神所安排的；藉著你的生命反映在你環境裡，完成神的旨意。你便常在光中，如同神在光中一樣。

    今日的傾向，是著重服務。但是小心的是把這當為唯一的標準。如果以這個標準去衡量耶穌，那麼，祂是世界上最失敗的一個人。聖徒所注意的是神的本身，不是以他有用無用為斷。神藉著我們所做的工作才有價值；不是我們替祂所做的工作有價值，這是要分別的。我們的主在我們的生命中所關心的，是我們與祂父的關係。耶穌領許多人子進入榮耀的關係裡。

    八月三十日

    「你們既知道這事，若是去行就有福了。」約翰福音十三章17節

    我們很難全然瞭解順服的心、降服的選擇、溫順和謙卑的靈所能帶給我們的是什麼樣的祝福。也不容易明白為什麼有些人明明能承受地土，卻寧願讓一切消失眼前。我們不曉得飢渴慕義的人，所得的美食是什麼；還有神如何以世界上任何快樂也敵不過的東西來使他們得飽足。我們更無法想像憐恤人的、饒恕人的、懂得施比受有福，或是不惜所有慷慨解囊的，這些人所能得到的雙倍祝福是些什麼。

    在這登山寶訓中，還有一類最最受祝福的人，就是那些流淚哀慟的人。他們的淚水如同鑽石般晶瑩剔透，他們的血則轉變成天上永恆冠冕上的紅寶石。我們與耶穌同受苦的喜樂，以及在大喜樂中忘卻悲哀的情形，使我們在見屬天的羔羊之前真不知該說什麼。讓我們就說：「淚水中雖有的淚水，喜樂中卻有更大的喜樂。」
