(\f2 1:17 Or|i Messiah|d. <<The Christ>> (Greek) and <<the Messiah>>(Hebrew) both mean <<the Anointed One.>>) 1:18 耶穌基督降生的事記在下面:他母親馬利亞巳經許配了約瑟,還沒有迎娶,馬利亞就從聖靈懷了孕。 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 1:19 她丈夫約瑟是個義人,不願意明明地羞辱她,想要暗暗地把她休了。 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. 1:20 正思念這事的時候,有主的使者向他夢中顯現,說:「大衛的子孫約瑟,不要怕!只管娶過你的妻子馬利亞來,因她所懷的孕是從聖靈來的。 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, <<Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 1:21 她將要生一個兒子,你要給他起名叫耶穌,因他要將自己的百姓從罪惡裏救出來。」 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, (\f3 1:21 |iJesus|d is the Greek form of|i Joshua|d, which means|i the Lord saves|d.) because he will save his people from their sins.>> 1:22 這一切的事成就是要應驗主藉先知所說的話, All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 1:23 說:「必有童女懷孕生子;人要稱他的名為以馬內利。」(以馬內利翻出來就是「 神與我們同在」。) <<The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel>>(\f4 1:23 Isaiah 7:14)--which means, <<God with us.>> 1:24 約瑟醒了,起來,就遵著主使者的吩咐把妻子娶過來; When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 1:25 只是沒有和她同房,等她生了兒子〔有古卷:等她生了頭胎的兒子〕,就給他起名叫耶穌。 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus. 十二月廿九日 「起來……我們已經窺探那地,見那地甚好。你們為何靜坐不動呢?要急速前往得那地為業,不可遲延……神已將那地交在你們手中,那地百物俱全,一無所缺。」士師記十八章9、10節 起來!有許多土地等著我們去得。我們如果靜坐不動,沒有一件東西會落到我們手中。「約瑟的兒子瑪拿西、以法蓮,就得了他們的地業。」(書十六4) 「雅各家必得原有的產業。」(俄17)「惟有完全人,必承受福分。」(箴廿八10)產業和福分都是要去得、去承受的。 對於神的應許,我們當有「據為己有」的信心。我們當把神的話算為我們個人的產業。有一次,一位教員問一個孩子道:「甚麼是據為己有的信心?」孩子回答說:「據為己有的信心乃是:拿一枝紅筆,把聖經上所有的「我」,「我的」,下面,都畫上紅線。」 凡是主所說的無論那一句話,你都可以把你的手指放在上面說:「這是我的」。讀者啊,有多少應許你能說:「在我身上已經成就了」呢? 「兒阿,你常和我同在,我一切所有的,都是你的。」(路十五31)親愛的啊!不要因懈怠失去你的遺產啊! 信心上市場的時候,總是帶著籃子的。

December 29 "Arise……for we have seen the land, and behold, it is very good; and are ye still? Be not slothful to go, and enter to possess the land: for God hath given it into your hands; a place where there is no want of anything that is in the earth." (Judges 18:9,10) ARISE! Then there is something definite for us to do. Nothing is ours unless we take it. "The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance." (Joshua 16:4) "The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions." (Obad. 17) The uprihgt shall have good things in possession." We need to have appropriating faith in regard to God's promises. We must make God's Word our own personal possession. A child was asked once what appropriating faith was, and the answer was, "It is taking a pencil and underscoring all the me's and mine's and my's in the Bible." Take any word please the He has spoken and say, "That word is my word." Put your finger on this promise and say, "It is mine." How much of the Word has been endorsed and receipted and said "It is done." How many promises can you subscribe and say, "Fulfilled to me." "Son, thou art ever with Me, and all that I have is thine." Don't let your inheritance go by default. "When faith goes to market it always takes a basket."

十二月廿九日 過於婦仁之愛 「我兄弟約拿單哪!我為你悲傷!我甚喜悅你!你向我發的愛情奇妙非常,過於婦女的愛情。」撒母耳記下一章26節 神造男人並向他顯示愛的能力,是努力為他人造福,並不惜犧牲生命;造女人,向她顯示仁慈、長久忍耐是為了他人而捨己。一個小孩在一歲時十分依賴母親,不只是嬰孩學習愛母親,而且母親也學習如何有無私的愛。她最大的目標乃是「只要以裏面存著長久溫柔安靜的心為裝飾,這在神前是極寶貴的。」(彼前三4) 仁慈是當今社會婦女最重要的事,相於當食物對男人的重要性;在很多情況下,這是唯一的正義。不可忘記女人最美的飾物是溫柔安靜的心,在神和人都看為極寶貴,也能使全家蒙福。妻子、母親不住代禱和得勝的愛,是人類快樂之源。 親愛的姊妹!這是妳最大的財產,神所賜最貴重的飾物——反射神所有仁慈和同情的愛。「母親怎樣安慰孩子,我也怎樣安慰你。」但願每位讀者深思神奇妙的愛,恆切為領受聖靈而禱告,以支取屬天的能力和影響,使她能因愛丈夫,甚至鄰舍而見證神的愛。 想想馬利亞,由於和其他婦女付出很多的愛,使得主在復活的早晨親自向她顯現。由於她們正確地付出愛心,就可首先看到主,並向門徒報佳音。但願神賜福所有的母親、妻子和婦女!但願由她們可看出愛是何等的美而奇妙!猶如大衛的話,是歷久彌新的:「像婦女的愛一樣奇妙」地愛神的兒女。

十二月廿九日 常在基督裡面 「你們要常在我裡面,我亦常在你們裡面……」約翰福音十五章4節 一個罪人竟可以和基督聯合,得與神的性情有分,乃是因著悔改認罪的心,信靠基督無比的救恩。基督亦樂於將祂尊貴聖潔永遠的生命賜給罪人。約翰福音三章15節說:「叫一切信祂的都得永生。」現在我們這般人,已經在基督裡了,與基督的生命有分。故我們應該在言行上與蒙召的恩相稱,要顯明聖靈所結出寶貴的果子,就是仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、溫柔、節制。好像枝子被接葡萄樹上,就與樹身合為一體,吸取樹身豐富生命的活力,發芽開花結實,結出來的果子,纍纍下墮。 弟兄們!我們若是天天活在主面前,就是與基督聯合了。

十二月廿九日 「因為神的旨意,我並沒有一樣避諱不傳給你們的」使徒行傳廿章27節 或許神讓我們能把祂的旨意傳給任何一個我們所遇到的人,乃是盼望我們有機會帶給那些人一些祝福,並且影響他們,使他們能更靠近神。事實上,如果我們能對生命中所碰到的每一個人說:「……無論何人死亡,我於眾人的血是潔淨的。」(徒廿26)那真就再好不過了。 但是我們真能如此說嗎?是否能對火車上坐在我們旁邊的人這麼說?或是為與我們工作的雇工如此說?最重要的是能否對我們的家人如此說?是否我們已盡了一切力量引領他們歸主呢? 早期的基督徒視每一個情況為作見證的機會,即使被帶到國王、首長的面前,他們也從未想要自己嘗試得到釋放,滿心所想的反倒只是主所留給他們的信息:「但這些事終必為你們的見證。」(路廿一13)他們視這種被捕的情況為向統治者傳福音的機會,因為他們深知若非如此,他們不可能接觸到這些人。
